The Funeral Assistance Committee (Laws)

--  It is agreed that the treasurer of the Australian Edbel Association Inc shall be appointed as the chairperson of the Funeral Assistance Committee.

-     The Funeral Assistance Committee will establish, administer & maintain the Funeral Assistance Fund. (The Funeral Fund).

-     The Funeral Fund will consist unlimited members who agree to contribute $110.00 each upon death of any member, to be used as to $100.00 towards contribution to Funeral expenses in the event of death of one of the members and $10.00 will be retained by the fund for administration fees.

-     All parties and members agree, that in the event that a member dies at any time whilst that member is a paid up member of the Funeral Fund, the remaining members agree to contribute $110.00 to pay towards the funeral expenses of the deceased member. This sum shall be paid within 28 days of any request.

-     Every member of the fund is required to pay the $110.00.

-     In the event that a member does not pay the amount within 28 days from the request of the fund, it is agreed that they will no longer be regarded as a member of the Fund/Association & have no further entitlements or rights to being a member of the Association & the Funeral Fund. Any past contributions made by any member shall not be refundable and no claim can be made by any such member.

--  The Funeral Fund assistance is only open to members of the Association who are Australian Citizens (friends, valuable supporters of the Associates) and with the written approval of the committee members.

-     In the event of death of a member the money raised will be passed to the next of Kin living at home. If there is no next of Kin living at home, it will be paid towards the Funeral, and if any monies remain it will be retained by the Committee.

-      The maximum number of members under The Funeral Assistance Scheme is unlimited.

-      The Committee reserves the absolute right to refuse and/or reject membership to any member.

-      The term of The Funeral Assistance Sub Committee is for 2 years and it is agreed that every 2 years an election shall occur as per the provisions of the constitution to elect a sub-committee.
